Why OpenInterns?
Our founders have had experience working with global companies across 3 continents and 3 countries and all these was made possible by a chance they got very early on in their careers.

Let's look at Lere's story: In 2013, Lere got an opportunity to serve as a Google Student Ambassador and later as a Google Business Intern in 2015. These opportunities and experience kicked a chain of learning opportunities, work experiences and real life knowledge that cemented Lere's career path for life with Google. Now, Lere can boast of a 8+ years career working with Google in different roles which are primarily different from his initial course of study, Computer Science. In addition to this, Lere gained soft skills and hard skills that make a MarTech expert, Business Dev Leader, Product Manager, Investor and as well as a founder of growing businesses in Nigeria and aborad.

Lere's story is one of many. Lere can showcase more than 20+ persons who have had similar paths at Google, Microsoft, Meta and a lot of other multi nationals as a results of the internship opportunities or call it experiential learning opportunities that they got.
​
In fact, Lere did not only gain this experience - he went on to design the "Google Africa Developer Training Program" which has impacted more 100,000 developers across more than 25 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
